Next, load "Washington Park - Chicago 2016 Olympic Bid" onto your GPS device:
- In Mscape Library, check the box next to the mediascape.
If Mscape Library doesn't open, download Mscape Suite and install it on your computer. - Click Copy To (below the list of mediascapes) and select your GPS device from the pop-up menu.
You can copy the mediascape to any of the locations listed for the device. - Disconnect your GPS device from your computer.
- Take your GPS device outside.
- Launch Mscape Player.
- Click the green Play button next to the mediascape.
Finally, set up "Washington Park - Chicago 2016 Olympic Bid" - and you're ready to go:
1) As you start to listen, you should be standing in front of the Fountain of Time, in the southeastern corner of Washington Park, near the corner of Best Drive and South Cottage Grove Avenue. 2) Walk north on Payne Drive to hear about the neighborhood surrounding Washington Park. There will be a minute of silence after this story, but continue to walk and you will also hear about landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead’s original vision for the park. 3) Cross Morgan Drive and stand on the South Open Green to hear about the proposed Olympic stadium, as well as community members’ views on how the Olympics may affect Washington Park.
