Hello World
This is a very simple mediascape that you can use for practice with the mscape maker. It has a few images and sounds that you can play around with.

Description
Using Hello World.
Open up Hello World in your mscape maker.
Click - Try it on your PC – this will bring up the mscape tester in a new window.
Click on the Place window to simulate walking around the area with GPS. If you click in the regions you will hear music and an image will display.
If you want to add your own region open the mediascape in mscape maker and then
Click on the Circle icon in the bottom bar – this should put a circle region on the map. You can move it by selecting it and dragging it. (TIP: make sure the Mode it set to Edit)
You can resize it by dragging the outer boundary line.
You can also change its color and name by editing the properties in the properties pane (bottom left). (TIP : the region you want to change must be selected)
Drag an audio item onto your new region. You will get a wizard prompting you what you want to do on entering the region. (TIP: the other regions used PLAY on enter). Next you will be asked what to do on exiting the region . (TIP : the other regions used FadeOutAndStop). Notice that script code is automatically being produced in the script window.

Now try out your mediascape on the tester.
If you want to move this mediascape to your location and go out and try it you need a map of your location. If you are in North America you can get this from the Map Service.
Right click on the GPS object and choose Replace Map. Choose from the Map Service.
Enter your post code or state and zoom to your area. Select Import Map.
Choose Move the Regions to move them to your new place.
Save the mediascape. Now you can copy it to your PDA and go out and try it.
Setup instructions
To get mscape maker go to the Build section of this website and download the toolkit.
Download the mediascape to your pc and unzip it. (Tip : create a MyMediascape folder and keep all your mediascapes in there). When you start mscape maker choose File - Open and select this mediascape.
