Description

Taking Raymond Queneau's One Hundred Thousand Billion Sonnets, translated by Bev Rowe, this mediascape allows you, the subject, to experience these poems through a mobile device using GPS in Plymouth.

It takes the same approach as the book, slicing up each line of each sonnet. These lines are assigned to positions around Plymouth, of which you can walk through.

You, the subject can therefore create your own sonnet, much like the original book.

Setup instructions

Make your way to Mutley plain in Plymouth. Make sure you have a GPS fix before so you can find the starting point.

  1. "What an innovative idea. I love the way the choice of street that you walk down will determine the next line of your composition. I have tried it in the tester and am curious to see what it would be like for real. " Josephine | Mar 07, 2008 | 11:57 AM
